Six months ago, I began a career transition. I reduced my “working for someone else” hours, started a coaching business and blog and started a doctoral program a few months later. I had planned my transition, had a general idea of what I wanted my future to look like, and felt comfortable with my approach. It was time. And then life happened….
The plan derailed within two weeks. Family, health, and house repair issues came out of nowhere taking my time, energy, and money. It was tough and yet this is what life is – a series of events, none of which turn out as we plan. Not everything ended as I would have liked, but many things did. Now, its time to refocus.
Bottom Line: Life happens; plans don’t turn out the way we envision. Even in the tough times though, there is always something to be grateful for if we keep our eyes open. And, if we keep our eyes open, we can see the rainbow and know its time to start again.
Here’s to all of us with our eyes open and starting, whatever it is that has been put to the side, again!
